![]() I encountered the same problem when syncing my iPad with iTunes 9.2. Remove it, then restart, and check to see if iPad syncing occurs more quickly. Navigate to ~/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins and /Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins (the Library folders inside your user folder and at the root level of your startup drive) and look for a file called iTonerSupport.bundle. ![]() It appears that the presence of Ambrosia Software’ iToner software may cause problems with syncing the iPad. Try uninstalling any such software then re-syncing your iPad. ![]() If you’ve installed software for an external hard drive or another device, it may include an automatic backup utility that recognizes the iPad as a storage device, interfering with the normal sync process. In some cases this issue can be resolved by completely removing then reinstalling iTunes as described in this Apple Knowledge Base article. Run through this series of potential fixes, which will solve sync issues for most users: In some cases, the computer freezes or stalls when one of these devices is connected in other cases the device is not recognized by iTunes and in yet other cases, the sync process is extremely slow. A number of users have reported problems syncing iPhones, iPads and iPods after the update to iTunes 9.2.
